Compulsory Basic Training or the CBT is the starting point of all
people wanting to learn to ride a motorcycle. The CBT is a legal requirement
for all learner motorcyclists and mpped riders and MUST be completed before you
can ride a motorcycle OR moped on the road. To read more about the legal requirements

The CBT is not an exam and does not result in a test. The CBT course
is a training course that was designed if tackle the increasing numbers of accidents
involving new and inexperienced riders.
We run the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)Courses at Bike Smart, West Sussex
every weekend on Saturdays and Sundays. We offer a complete package that
will ensure that you have everything that you need to complete the course as well

The Compulsary Basic Training Course can be completed on a 125cc Geared bike or an automatic moped depending
on your requirements. Those people looking to then continue their training in order
to complete with the
A2 Restricted Motorcycle Licence or the Direct Access
Scheme (DAS) Motorcycle Course will be assessed whilst completing their
CBT course by the
Bike Smart Motorcycle Instructors to asses the level of further training
required to complete the relative licence level.
